Any example apps?

Looking for inspiration for this competition. I have a sense of what I'd like to do, but I'm curious if there are any good example applications around? Or even any sample ideas of what one might do with the API and data we are able to access.

If not, no problem. Just though it might be useful to see what's out there and what's possible.
